Request for Proposals: National Association for Workforce Improvement Conference April 21-23 in Alexandria. VA. We invite you to consider submitting a presentation proposal. Key areas of interest for this year’s conference include:
• Integration of Academics and CTE
• Transitions
• Improved Achievement
• Learning Styles
• Active Learning
• Collaboration
• Green Technology
• STEM
• Creative Use of Technology in the Classroom
• Use of Social Networking in the Classroom
If you are currently part of such a program, submit a proposal to present so you can share details about your innovative program with other CTE and business-industry professionals around the country – this includes secondary, postsecondary and workforce education. VCDA Presents at the August VACTE Institute Power Point Presentation


To highlight the growing importance of business engagement in education, the National Career Pathways Network (NCPN) and the Institute for a Competitive Workforce (ICW), an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, have released a joint publication titled Thriving in Challenging Times: Connecting Education to Economic Development Through Career Pathways .

The publication's title reflects an increasing awareness among American employers and business leaders of the critical role they must play in supporting successful education models in their local communities, particularly in challenging economic times.
