The Virginia Career Development Association would like to recognize both VCDA member practitioners and organizations with the Model Career Development Award.
These awards indicate that a practitioner and organization have demonstrated effective planning, teaching and counseling strategies
to foster career development in a variety of settings.
Model Career Development Practitioner and Organization Award winner(s) will be
selected by VCDA and presented at the VCDA Conference
on
Friday April 20,
2012. Individuals may nominate themselves or may be nominated by
a colleague or administrator.
The 2011-12 deadline for submission is March 15, 2012
Model Career Development Award winners will be recognized at the VCDA Conference.
Award recipients will be invited to present at future VCDA conferences,
and will receive a
free VCDA Conference 2012 registration. Entries
will be judged by a VCDA Awards
Committee based on:
Adherence to accepted career development standards
Evidence that stated objectives were met
Evidence of impact on student learning and career development
Degree to which the activity is integrated into the school/community
Program may be submitted by any career development
professional
